READ ME FILE FOR "THE TAI-CORVA CAMPAIGN" CUSTOM MISSIONS PACK.

Note!!!
USE THESE FILES AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR COMPUTER, OPERATING SYSTEM, OR ANY HAVOC YOU WREAK ON YOUR MACHINE

GENERAL

1. This pack is a set of eight custom missions to be used with Lucasarts Balance of Power expansion pack for XvT.

2. This mission pack is freeware. Feel free to distribute these missions as widely as possible. Make improvements and add wave files if you want. All I ask is that if you make a significant improvement, zip it and e-mail it back to me at anbncns@swbell.net so I can try it!

3 As you play these you'll notice several references to Kyle Katarn and Jan Oors of Dark Forces and Jedi Knight fame. I'm looking for a JK mission author interested in creating the two missions involving the rescue of the A-wing recon pilot and the sabotaging of the planetary shield generators. If you're interested, e-mail me at the address in line 2
and I'll send you all the necessary storyline and background material.

4. I'm not enough of a wiz yet to make cut-scenes. Sorry. Hope you enjoy the missions anyway.

INSTALLATION

I) Case One: you have no other custom missions installed in your Balance of Power Train Directory.

	A. Copy the eight .tie files into your train directory. (Path will be X:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Xwingtie\Train for Xwing VS Tie Fighter or X:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Xwingtie\Balance of Power\Train for BoP, where X is your desingated harddrive)

	B. In the same train directory, replace the rebel.lst file with the one provided. Replace rebel.lst in the campaign folder with rebel1.lst, then change its name to rebel.lst. Add corva.lst to the campaign directory, and replace campaign2.lst with the subtitute provided.

	C. Wasn't that easy? Enjoy!!

II) Case Two: You already have custom missions installed in your train directory.

	A. If you have a custom mission installer utility that auto-organizes your imported missions, use it as you normally would. If not.... proceed to B.

	B. Follow step A. as listed in Case one.

	C. From Windows 95, goto Start, then Programs, then MSDOS prompt.

	D. From MSDOS, switch to the drive where your game is installed, then follow the filepath to get to the train directory.

For BoP: X:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Xwingtie\Balance of Power\Train (X is your designated hard drive)

	E. Type edit at the prompt. This will bring up a blue screen.

	F. Goto File, then open rebel.lst

	G. Copy the following after the last line of text in the file. (What follows will look similar to what is already in there.)

		//
		[The Tai-Corva Campaign]
		//
		100
		corva1.tie
Recon Imperial Facilities in the Tai-Corva System
		101
		corva2.tie
		Fighter Sweep
		102
		corva3.tie
		Destroy Interdictors
		103
		corva4.tie
		Destroy ISD Talon
		104
		corva5.tie
		Prevent Dreadnought Exodus
		105
		corva6.tie
		Rendevous with Supply Convoy
		106
		corva7.tie
		Capture Shipyard Facilities
		107
		corva8.tie
		Imperial Counterattack

The numbers listed, 100, 101, etc can be changed if they are already used for other custom installed missions. If so, just use the next sequential numbers or any unused numbers you like. All you have to do is make sure that in step H, you use the same numbers for the same missions.

	H. Save the changes you just made to rebel.lst.

	I. Copy rebel1.lst to your campaign directory then change the name to rebel.lst

	J. In your campaign directory, copy corva.lst and replace campaign2.lst with the file provided. If you already have custom campaigns installed, instead of replacing campaign2.lst, edit it the same way you did rebel.lst. Open the tai-corva version to see how the text line should read.

	K. You are ready to play. Enjoy!
